Speed Landscape Drawing and Painting

Saturday 25 January
South Boston Waterfront - 1pm - 2 Hours
Boston Art Group
Teymura Landsverk
The focus of this two-hour structured session is "speed" and "form", i.e. capturing the essence of a subject. You will be guided to complete some "warm-up" colour and drawing exercises and prepared for doing ink and watercolour-based painting in the session. You will learn how to quickly sketch and capture multiple subjects in the garden with ink and wash technique. You will be advised to keep things rather loose and time your drawing/painting.
You will have a chance to meet and greet like-minded people, choose your own subjects in the garden and be guided to complete the exercises, and artwork and have some takeaway homework with the learned technique. All levels and experiences are welcome.

Blue waters, white sands and orange lichen covered granite boulders of Bay of Fires is another magical part of Australian Landscape. I fell in love with Tasmania and decided to create a series of watercolour paintings reflecting the mesmerising beauty of Bay of Fires from Tasmania.

I painted this for a challenge posted on the Art by Paul Clark FB group page. The reference photo was taken in Devonshire, England. I used a Bee Paper sketchbook and miscellaneous paints. I?ve been working on learning dry brush technique in watercolor for a while I I think I?ve finally mastered it as evidence by the trees in this one.

Title or Location: Hanging in There
This was a piece we were tasked with in a local watercolor class at the Creative Arts Center in Dallas with Sarah Janice. The intent was to replicate the various textures and wetness of the subject with preserving the white of the paper.
